On August 28, 2025, the 2 MW solar power plant in Qonayev became the venue for an educational meeting. As part of the training on renewable energy sources and PtX technologies, organized by the Kazakh-German University with the support of GIZ, our station was visited by professors and representatives of leading universities of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.

Among the guests were representatives of Nazarbayev University, Satbayev University, Yessenov University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, KBTU, Toraighyrov University, Rudny Industrial University, Atyrau University of Oil and Gas, AUES, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, as well as researchers and lecturers from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

The visitors were introduced to the operation of the solar power plant, its technological solutions, and modern practices in renewable energy. Discussions focused on integrating renewable sources into the grid, increasing station efficiency, and applying innovative technologies.

Special attention was given to promoting the profession of energy engineer. Professors had the opportunity to see the real operation of the station and the people who ensure its stability. This experience will be passed on to their students — future engineers and specialists — enhancing the educational process and increasing youth interest in the energy sector.

Such knowledge exchange is especially important in the Year of Working Professions announced by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We emphasized that the future of renewable energy is impossible without engineers, electricians, and technicians, and it is educators who help shape the new generation of specialists who will soon work at renewable energy facilities.

These visits contribute to the development of educational potential and strengthen the link between industry and universities. Many graduates who started their practice at the stations of «Samruk-Green Energy» are already working in our company and within the «Samruk-Energo» group. This proves that cooperation with universities brings real results for the entire energy sector.
